MUMBAI: One of the rising stars of the Indian film industry, Sushant Singh Rajpur committed suicide at his place of residence located in Bandra, Mumbai. The representative of the actor confirmed the news. The actor was merely aged 34. As per the reports, he hanged himself.
The actor's death comes days after his prior manager Disha Salian also died of suicide. Rajput had tweeted his shock on social media.

Sushant set foot in Bollywood with his debut in 'Kai Po Che' that came out in the year 2014. He starred in films like PK, MS Dhoni: The Untold Journey, Kedarnath, Chhichhore and so on. He was last seen in the movie 'Drive' by Netflix.
He rose to fame by his debut in the TV serial 'Pavitra Rishta'.

Sushant was lauded for his performance in all the films he had starred in. The film 'MS Dhoni' where he portrayed the role of the former captain of the Indian cricket team was one of the most successful films of 2016. He was praised by the critics for his role in the film, 'Byomkesh Bakshi' by Dibakar Banerjee in the year 2015.
