Sun rises in the east and sets in the west! Ayushmann Khurrana wins hearts through his performance in any movie! Just stating some facts out there. How does this person manage to shine bright every time? We have no clue but we do know that 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' is a blockbuster.
It's just not because of Ayushmann only but the storyline is what will attract the audience more to the theatres. Bringing the concept of homosexuality to mainstream cinema, we surely have not seen this often in Bollywood. Kudos to each and every person associated with the film.

Talking about the story, the film is about Love is Love and portrays that beautifully. Kathik (Ayushamann) is a gay who falls in love with Aman (Jitendra). Aman also loves him but is afraid of what his family and the society would think about their homosexual love but his lover Karthik has an attitude not to give up.
Then comes an interesting twist when Aman's Parents, Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta, arrange their son's marriage with a girl. We are not giving you any spoiler and the story follows how Karthik and Aman together try to make a place for their love in the society. You will laugh, you will smile, you will feel sad too but there will not be a single scene where you won't be experiencing any emotions.
We think it will be an insult to write any praise for Ayushmann as he is beyond words but his journey has been exceptional. From Roadies to becoming an RJ to TV host and to finally making such out of the box movies, Ayushmann has definitely come a long way. We should have thought that this guy has come to stay long as he made his debut as a sperm donor and now has done a gay role. What more, Ayushmann?
If Khurrana is the heart of the movie then Jeetu is the backbone for sure. Complimenting his co-actor and on-screen love, Jitendra is possible in making his way to bigger roles in upcoming movies.
Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta are just two films old couple and have managed to become an iconic duo. The casting could not have been better than this for such a stereotype-breaking film. The other supporting actors give a fine edge to this exceptional picture.
