Yamaha India Extends Service Period And Warranty Amidst COVID-19 Crisis

CHENNAI: Yamaha Motors India has recently announced that it's service and warranty period for the customers will be extended nationwide due to the ongoing situation of lockdown.

This was initiated after thinking about the customers who have warranties which might expire during the lockdown period and won't be able to make use of the benefits. This decision has been made a part of the Yamaha Lifetime Quality Care approach. The warranty has been increased by 60 days i.e. it will last till June 2020.

Under this Quality Care Approach, Yamaha will expand three kinds of services which were to be scheduled during the days of 15 March 2020 to 15 April 2020. The customers who had the privilege of free service will now be able to avail it anytime till June 2020. Similarly, normal warranties for various Vehicles for Yamaha have also been increased by 2 months.  These benefits can also be availed by the customers who have an annual maintenance contract.

The company also said that it has let the dealer principles pan India know about the information so that the benefits of the customers can be passed without any issues. Other than Yamaha, TVS Motors also took a similar decision which involved extending warranty periods on vehicles of their brand.
