CBSE Starts A Counselling Helpline For COVID-19

NEW DELHI: CBSE or the Central Board Of Secondary Education has begun a tele-helpline which is also toll-free about all the precautionary measures to take and counselling sessions during the COVID-19 outbreak, which is spreading in the country quite rapidly.

The toll-free number, 1800 11 8004  can be contacted for this facility. It remains active from 8:00 am in the morning to 8:00 pm at night. The service will be available until 31 March 2020.

Official and trained counsellors have been hired for this initiative. Students and even their parents can contact the counsellors in order to have a preventive intervention, help with lessening transmission and guidance on first aid to assist in controlling the coronavirus from spreading. Students will also be suggested the productive activities they can do while at home.

Along with this, the 23rd edition of CBSE Annual Pre Exam Psychological live Tele-Counselling for class 10 and 12 students who are appearing for their board exams is going on from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. It's also free of cost. The new helpline has been started keeping in mind the rising coronavirus cases which have also lead to schools getting shut in most states.

The board is also taking the initiative to make the public aware of the precautionary measures to take as cases keep rising. The official twitter handle of the board was observed sharing fun memes about how the virus can be fought off. Measures regarding the seating arrangement being changed to avoid the spread of the virus were also shared on the twitter account.
