PANAJI: The Goa's chief minister's office said on Wednesday that there has been no shut down of any educational institution in the state. This announcement was to counter false information that was spread through a fake screenshot of CM Pramod Sawant's tweet that said that the education departments will remain closed due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Clearing the information in a tweet, the Goa CMO wrote, "A fake screenshot of Hon'ble CM's tweet is circulating on social media. No such tweet has been made by the CM. Screenshots may be cross-checked with official Twitter and Facebook profiles of the CM and CMO for their authenticity before being forwarded."
