BENGALURU: Distraint arose in an exam hall of Sherwood High School when ICSE Class 10 students didn't receive extra answer sheets on time due to the delay caused by the invigilator responsible for distributing. The students also received their graph papers late. The incident occurred on Tuesday, 3 March 2020, when the class 10 students were scheduled to appear for their exams in the subject of mathematics.

Some students from the hall claimed that they were late in receiving their sheets and graphs by 20 minutes than the scheduled time.

A disappointed parent mentioned, "The invigilators were not ready with the papers. Even when they started distributing, they gave them to students of their own schools first. My son got the additional sheets just 10 minutes ahead of the last bell after asking for them at least five times. He had only half an hour left to write. He couldn't answer questions worth 20 marks."

Another parent who claimed that his child missed out on a question worth 6 marks, said "This is extremely disappointing for students who prepared for an entire year for the exams. The authorities should look at CCTV footage and take necessary steps to ensure students get justice so that they continue to be motivated for the rest of the exams."

Many parents decided to write to the principal of the institution to express their outrage and concerns over the current incident, while she said, "We will report your concerns to the examination zone convener immediately. We are also hopeful that students will continue to be motivated in spite of the incident. We will certainly take as much care as possible of our kids as possible."
