MUMBAI: B-town diva Anushka Sharma has expressed concerns over all the stigma around the rapidly spreading coronavirus. She also appealed to the people to not discriminate amongst people who are found to be COVID-19 positive.
Sharma used her social media handle to address the public where she wrote, "Deeply disturbed reading some reports about how coronavirus patients and even some medical professionals, who are in the frontline taking care of such patients, are being discriminately treated."

The actress also wishes that people would be a bit sensitive to the COVID-19 positive patients and all the healthcare workers. She believes the nation must stand shoulder to shoulder during these dark times.
"At times like this, it is important that we care for each other and are extremely sensitive to the suffering of others. Let's not treat fellow citizens with disrespect and stigma. It's the time to stay united and stand united," she posted.

Meanwhile, the actress and her cricketer husband, Virat Kohli came forward to do their bit to fight the battle against the life-threatening coronavirus, they have pledged to support the relief funds established by the Prime Minister and Maharashtra's chief minister.

It is also alleged that the duo has already donated up to 3 crores towards the cause.
