Gangubai Kathiawadi: Motion Poster Out; First Look To Be Unveiled Tomorrow

MUMBAI: We have seen Alia Bhatt in the role of a diva, a bubbly girl, an undercover officer and so more! Now, get ready to witness her in a new avatar of a gangster from the movie 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' that will be out on 15th January. 

The makers have dropped a motion poster of this upcoming movie and it has a message that will get you excited. It states that the first look will be out tomorrow that will be of Alia Bhatt playing the titular role in the movie.

Helmed by the ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he shared the motion poster and wrote, "The wait ends and the excitement begins now.. Get ready to dive into her world, first look out tomorrow." 

The movie is based on the legendary Gangubai Kathiawadi who used to run a brothel and completely changed the face of Mumbai's Kamathipura. Alia will be seen in a very challenging role and is also collaborating with SLB for the very first time. Bhansali, who is known to make exceptional films, will surely reach to another level with this one. 

It was reported that the film will also feature Ajay Devgn but he will be having only a special appearance. A source close to the project said, "It is not a full-fledged part but a special appearance. It is a very interesting role. An official statement in this regard will be made soon."

If this comes to be true then 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' will be the second project where the Singham star and Bhansali would come together after the 1999 super hit 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' which also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan.

This upcoming venture of Bhansali and Bhatt will be hitting the theatres on 11th September 2020.
