MUMBAI: Veteran actress Neena Gupta is enjoying her fandom that is growing with every film she is doing. The 60-year-old actress is very happy with the work she is doing and the work coming to her way. However, the actress also feels jealous of the younger generation of actresses who are performing excellently in the cinematic world.

After films like 'Mulk', 'Veere Di Wedding' and especially 'Badhaai Ho', Gupta is flying high on success and is filled with many ambitious projects in the future. Speaking at an interview, the actress revealed that she is happy for herself but also is envious of "young girls". She said, "I'm very happy that I'm getting such substantial roles. I feel I've got a new lease of life. I feel energetic and happening. But I'm also very sad, I wish I was much younger now. There are so many platforms, possibilities, so I get jealous of all the young girls who are doing such good work."

Neena Gupta was praised for her role as Mrs. Kaushik in the national award-winning film 'Badhaai Ho'. She even bagged several awards for the best actress for the same. The film was definitely a turning point for her and talking about it, Neena said, "Badhaai Ho came to me by chance if another actor had done it, I would've been at the same place. Films are a business. They take who's working. I won't get a role if I say I want to do that. It depends on how saleable you're at that time."

Further, she owed everything that she has now to 'Badhaai Ho' as its immense success gained her several offers. She said, "I got offered big roles after 'Badhaai Ho' but if the film hadn't worked, I wouldn't have gotten. It's business, nobody is emotional about it. I used to not get work even on TV, but wherever I went, they'd treat me with respect but never offer work."
