MUMBAI: On the account of her birthday, acclaimed actress of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut took the opportunity to share with her fans one very important message through a video. The actress took to her Instagram account which is run by her team to remind everyone that apart from her birthday, today also marks Shaheed Diwas.
The actress was seen in a pink saree in the video and began by thanking her fans and everyone from the industry for their kind words and wishes as it is her birthday today. The actress then continued and mentioned that this day is also celebrated as 'Shaheed Diwas' and then remembered socialist revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru who lost their lives this day, 89 years ago.

She later recited the famous nazm by Kaifi Azmi titled ''Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo'. The actress sang gracefully as she remembered all the martyrs. In the video, she also said, "Kya samaa raha hoga jab hamare shaheed ‘mera rang de basanti chola’ gaate hue faansi par chadh gaye honge" (It must have been a soul-stirring moment when our martyrs sacrificed their lives for the greater good as they sang ‘mera rang de basanti chola’)

On the occasion of her birthday, Kangana is at Manali with her friends and family. The shootings in the industry have also been put on hold due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak taking over the nation, hence Kangana left for her hometown.
