PM Modi Praises Amitabh Bachchan's Short Film 'Family'

MUMBAI: Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India has urged his millions of followers to take a look at 'Family', a short film with a star-studded cast. The film is an effort to motivate the audience into staying safe at their homes during the coronavirus pandemic which has been spreading all around the world, including our own country. Modi feels the video is "great" and has a "relevant message".

PM Modi tweeted on Tuesday: "You can be distant and you can be social. An excellent video with relevant messages. Have a look."

'Family', the short film has been made at home and features a huge star cast with Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, Regional superstars like Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Chiranjeevi, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Shiva Rajkumar have also been featured in the video. It also includes Dilit Dosanjh and Sonalee Kulkarni.

The vision behind the video has been of Prasoon Pandey, who also virtually directed the video in collaboration with Bachchan. The duration of the video is of 4 minutes 39 seconds.

It talks about how staying put at home, staying safe, maintaining hygiene, functioning from home and maintaining social distancing will be productive

 As the video is about to come to an end, Big B also appeals in favour of the film industry's daily wage workers who are currently left with no income because of a complete halt in filming activity due to the lockdown, which began last month.
