MUMBAI: Indian Youtube sensations like Bhuvan Bam, Prajakta Kohli and Ashish Chanchlani are some of the stars who will soon feature in "The Lockdown Rap". This track will help guide people to keep their spirits high amidst these dark times where the whole is trying to fight the novel coronavirus.
The rap track has been sung by SSD (Shubham) and is based on the song 'Asli Hip Hop' from the movie 'Gully Boy' starring Ranveer Singh and was directed by Zoya Akhtar, that came out in the year 2019.

Bhuvan Bam talked about being a part of the project and said, "The melody of the song is already hit but the lyrics are completely new. I am glad to be a part of this video which is our little contribution towards spreading awareness in society. I am grateful for all the people who are putting their lives at risk for our country. I urge people to stay at home and practice social distancing."
Other YouTubers from the Indian Youtube community like Tanmay Bhatt, Beer Biceps, Technical Guruji, Anmol Sachar, Be YouNick, Mumbiker Nikhil, Harsh Beniwal, Kunal Chhabhria, Akash Dodeja and many others will be seen featuring in the music video in the song. The music video has been shot from everyone's house, keeping in mind the norms of social distancing.
Ashish Chanchlani said, "It is the best way to reach out to the masses and tell them how important it is to stay at home in a situation like this".
He further added, "When you listen to the lyrics it is relatable to our situation of lockdown. The music video gives out a very important message without being preachy and in the correct lingo like the line 'Saath Milkar Hatao Iss Haiwaan Ko."

The song, "The Lockdown Rap" has been written by Kunal Chhabhria and Anmol Sachar.
