CHANDIGARH: In order to provide public services relating to fighting against the novel coronavirus, Harayana CM Manohar Lal Khattar launched a voluntary program, said an official on Tuesday.

Just like many other states, Haryana also came under complete lockdown from Tuesday.

The program called 'Covid -- Sangharsh Senani' was launched on Monday so that people themselves volunteer for giving their services in hospitals (both doctors and paramedics) and in district administration, the official said.

People interested to voluntarily help can register themselves to haryana.mygov.in and covidharyana.in.

The government has also directed the employees to work from home so that social distance could be maintained and the chain of the novel coronavirus from person to person could be broken.

An official spokesperson told IANS the administrative secretaries told to ensure 50 percent of Group B, C and D employees are required in their departments, including municipal bodies, corporations and societies, to attend the office every day. The rest of the 50% should be working from home.
