NEW DELHI: From January 22nd to February 1st to March 3rd and now March 20th! Delhi court issued a fresh death warrant against the four convicts in Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case on Thursday.

According to the fourth death warrant issued, these convicts will be hanged on March 20, 2020, at 5:30 pm. Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana fixed the execution date saying, "It is directed that convicts shall be hanged by the neck until they are dead by on March 20 at 5.30 a.m." The decision followed after the Delhi government told the court that the convicts have used and now have exhausted all their legal remedies.

However, advocate AP Singh, who is on the defending side of the criminals, stated that there was no legal impediment for the court in the proceeding so as to fix the execution date.

Just after the announcement of the date, Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi was hopeful for the fourth time now that it is the "final date and the convicts get hanged on March 20." Think about the mother who has been continuously fighting for more than seven years so that her late daughter gets justice.

"While dying Nirbhaya asked to ensure they get such punishment that such crime is not repeated ever. If there is any chance, I would like to see them die," said Asha Devi.

The convicts Mukesh Kumar Singh, Vinay Kumar Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Akshay Kumar Singh committed something so horrible on 16th December 2012 that you and I (except all the people alike them) could never think of in our wildest of dreams. They along with two other gang-raped a 23-year-old medical student and injured her so badly that she succumbed to them and lost her life.

We really hope that the hanging would not be deferred anymore as it has already been more than enough. The whole case made us question our law and was an eye-opening terrifying incident. However, the saddest part remains that the rape percentage is still high in our country. The women are still not safe or shall we say no living being is safe in this country as long as it is filled with inhumane people.
