Parents can do anything and everything in their control or even beyond to make the dreams of their child come true. They say that behind every successful man, there's a woman but 'Angrezi Medium' says behind every dreams of a child, there are several sacrifices of parents.

The central theme of the Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan starrer is the love that a parent has for his child, mainly shows the happy, fun and emotional relationship of a father and his daughter. Just like the characters in the movie smile, laugh and cry, its audience also experiences similar emotions.

Set in Udaipur and also in London, Champak Bansal (Irrfan) lives with his family. His daughter, Tarika Bansal (Radhika) is an excellent scholar and has had the dream to study abroad since she was a little girl. Belonging to a lower-middle-class, her dream is certainly hard to achieve but her beloved father makes sure that it gets fulfilled, no matter what he has to do.

The first-half introduces to all the major characters of the movie and also has smartly sub-plotted other issues. Besides the central theme, it also focuses on the fascination of the new generation to study abroad, problems and misunderstandings that a father-daughter duo face that can be relatable to all the parents and their children.

Do not expect to see something unordinary as there are several stereotypes that we have seen in many other Bollywood dramas. Some of the themes and humor might also appear to be stretched and that are the points where the film loses its direction.

However, these things do not inhibit the movie and its actors to make an emotional connection with the audience. It comes out as a complete package of a proper Bollywood entertainer and makes sure that the messages that the film wants to convey do not get lost.

Irrfan Khan steals the entire show! His dedication and hard work that he has put in order to carry out the role is quite clear through his incredible performance. From his appearance to his action, everything is on point. He plays his character as a doting father with the same honesty with which he was seen in the original 'Hindi Medium'.

Radhika Madan wins hearts with her simplicity and has made sure that her rebellious, as well as the innocent character, reaches to every teenager out there.

Deepak Dobriyal is the actor that you would need in every film. He does not surprise you as he is always brilliant in each of his films. Playing the role of Irrfan's brother, he assures that he gives the required supporting shoulder to the film and is probably the heart of the film. He is the main reason because of whom you will burst into laughter in many of the scenes.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Dimple Kapadia as the daughter-mother duo deliver fine performances. Ranveer Shorey has a small role but makes his presence felt whenever he is on the screen. Kiku Sharda and Pankaj Tripathi also make us chuckle as they carry out their quirky acts.

The background music and songs add more life to the whole movie. It also conveys the exact emotions that the film is trying to express. The direction by Homi Adajania is upto the mark but the writing felt a little short.
