All Hail Pandya As He Knocks Unbeaten 158 Off 55 Balls In DY Patil T20 Cup

MUMBAI: Hardik Pandya was on a break from the game because of his lower-back injury. However, upon his return to the 16th DY Patil T20 Cup at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium, he made sure to show the whole world that what did they miss in some past months. 

While playing his second match for Reliance 1 in the tournament against BPCL, Pandya knocked 158 not out off just 55 balls giving all the spectators a treat to their sight. 20 massive sixes and six fours completed his smashing inning. The crowd which also included India's cricket stars, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer were cheering the Indian sports star.

Previously, in his comeback match a few days ago, Hardik scored a big 105 runs in 39 balls. Thus, this was his second ton in the tournament. After his comeback match where he hit his first century in the DY Patil T20 Cup, Hardik said, It's fantastic (platform) for someone like me. I have been away for almost six months. This is my second game after a long time. For me, it is a good platform to see where I am currently and test my body. I am really happy with the way things have gone."

The 26-year-old Indian all-rounder further added, "If it's there in my arc I just back myself and go for it. Most of the time, it comes out pretty well. There is no plan that I am going to go out there and smash it."

The India and Baroda all-rounder underwent surgery for his lower-back injury five months ago and since then, he is away from the field and is on the road to recovery. It was expected that he would be back to the International cricket in India's tour of New Zealand but he could not pass the required fitness test.
