The Central Board of Secondary Examination of CBSE has implemented a new policy to register Class 9 and 11 students under the DigiLocker system. DigiLocker is an government initiative. It is a an online digital locker with 1 GB space to store in all the resident documents. CBSE will also put registration cards in the digital system.
Before this, only class 10 and 12 marksheets were being stored in Digilockers of the concerned pupils. The registration card which will be made for students who are in class 9 and 11 will contain the following details regarding the students:
The details will be later used for the board exams which will be conducted in the next standard i.e. class 10 and 12.
This initiative will make things for the CBSE convenient as they would be able to easily estimate the number of students appearing for the board examination and under what subjects. Due to the registration cards, which will be made in 9th and 11th standard, students will be able to correct the errors like spelling mistake in name or date of birth. The board will have surplus time to fix the faults before the examination period.
