MUMBAI: Ayushmann Khurrana is running high on success with his recent release 'Bala'. But what's new in this? Nothing! The actor must have become habitual of this. However, in a recent interview, Khurrana revealed that these two actors inspire him and those two are everyone's favorite- Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

When Ayushmann was asked who he looks up to in the industry, the actor did not shy away to take the name of his contemporaries. He said, "I’d love to name my contemporaries, even though normally people don’t do that. I look up to Ranveer Singh. The diversity in his filmography is amazing. His energy levels are unbelievable and he’s so inspiring. And also Ranbir Kapoor for that matter. Both Ranveer and Ranbir are extremely talented, and they inspire me."

In the same interview, the Badhai Ho actor also opened up on the controversy that his film 'Bala' faced regarding the character of Bhumi Pednekar, who is a fair-skinned woman, portrayed a dark-skinned girl in the movie. The actor had an interesting take and said, "An actor is always looking forward to something which is different, and which is not really them on screen. By that logic, you will never cast an actor as a cricketer. Why not take a real-life cricketer? Or why not cast someone who is balding? I’m someone with a great hairline, so I’m the worst candidate for this role."

He went further on and said that going by this logic, he should never play the role of a small-town boy as he is from an urban area. "That’s because I’m a convent educated urban guy. So why not just take an actor from rural India? We will end up playing ourselves otherwise. We are always looking for roles which make us push our boundaries not just in terms of acting skills, but also with the way we look," Khurrana added.

On the work front, Ayushmann will be next seen in 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhaan' and 'Gulabo Sitaabo'.
