You can count on the co-founder of the 'I hate Rachel Green' club to deliver funny acceptance speeches even when he is not in attendance. Brad Pitt couldn't make it to this year's BAFTAs due to a 'family obligation', so he sent co-star Magot Robbie to collect his award for the Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'.
Margot delivered a pre-written speech while accepting the award on Pitt's behalf and as his last few speeches are indication--it was funny, there was a joke on him being single, and this time he threw Prince Harry into the mix. YUP! Pitt made a Harry joke right in front of his older brother Duke of Cambridge Prince William and his wife Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
“Hey, Britain! I heard you just became single, welcome to the club,” Margot said as she read out from Brad’s speech. She then went on to thank the Royal Academy and the film’s crew on his behalf, including the costume designer for the ‘tight jeans’-- something for which even Margot was thankful for.
Margot, who played Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon a Time In Hollywood', then reveals that Brad will be naming his award Harry as “he’s really excited about bringing this back to the States with him”. Naturally, the cameras panned to William and Kate, who were seen laughing at the joke with the others.
In case you are Patrick (from Spongebob because he lives under a rock! Gawd! Do I have to explain every joke?) and are lost on the Harry bit-- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to step back from their Royal duties and pursue a more humble and financially independent life as they divide their time between England and North America.
The two are forging history as they embark on a new 'royal-free' journey towards a "progressive new role".
