CHENNAI: Kamal Haasan's upcoming film 'Indian 2' suffered an unfortunate set accident that killed three of the technicians in the film. While the loss surely cannot be equated with money but to provide financial assistance to the victims' families, director S. Shankar will be giving 1 crore to them.
In his statement, Shankar said that no help is enough to compensate for the lives of their loved ones. "Nevertheless, a sum of Rs 1 crore will be given to the affected families by me which may be of small help to them," he said.

Shankar also said that the remorse of losing the three colleagues to the terrible accident is tormenting and he is not at all relieved that he was saved. He is still in shock and is trying to recover from the unfortunate incident that took place earlier this month despite several safety measures were taken. The scenario is just too painful and unforgettable for the whole cast and crew.
While on the sets at their work, three technicians named Madhu, Chandran and Krishna lost their lives when a crane fell on them at the EVP Film City near Chennai on the night of February 19th. The moment was heartbreaking for all the people involved in the movie including the lead stars Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal.
Haasan, Kajal and the director had a providential escape but they failed to save the technicians. They paid their condolences to their families and the loss is surely unchangeable.
