The news reported, "The film is tentatively titled 'Deadly', as the story is centred around a funeral. Katrina loved the basic premise, which essentially traces the protagonist's journey of self-discovery with humorous undertones, and gave an instant go-ahead to Vikas."

The news further said a source saying that Kaif, who has mesmerized her audience and established herself as a mainstream heroine in her 17-year-long career, is looking forward to experimenting with new roles and genres and the project is just apt for it. The makers have also reportedly approached Bachchan with the central role and after his confirmation, an official announcement could be made soon.

Katrina and Big B though have not had enough screen time together but they did feature in several movies. In fact, Kaif's debut movie 'Boom' starred Bachchan as the protagonist. She also had a cameo role in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Sarkar' and again featured for a small role in 'Thugs Of Hindustan' that had Big B and Aamir Khan in the lead roles. The duo recently also shot an advertisement together for a jewelry brand where they reportedly were playing father-daughter. The ad is yet to be out and also has Jaya Bachchan in it.
