MUMBAI: Actress Kriti Sanon will be portraying a surrogate mother in the forthcoming film called 'Mimi'. In order to look more realistic to her character, she gained around 15 Kgs! The actress says that she is gonna go diet now for the first time ever in her life. The upcoming release 'Mimi', is a Hindi remake of the National Award-winning film in Marathi called 'Mala Aai Vhhaychy'.
The shooting of the parts where the actress has to weight more than her usual self has concluded. In order to shoot the parts where the actress is supposed to be skinny, she will work on herself to get back in shape. Kriti shared with an esteemed daily, "Now, the struggle is to get back into shape and have a great body again. Knocking off extra calories can be pretty tedious. I hadn’t even worked out for the past few months, so even my mobility was down.”

Sanon also talked about her own food habits and preferences and said, "I didn’t think I would be able to do this because I have always been skinny. In fact, I can eat everything, from pizza to pasta and dal makhani because I’m blessed with good metabolism. I hope I haven’t lost that because of this film.”
She also talked about the film which features Pankaj Tripathi, "I am very happy. But it’s also a bit of responsibility on your shoulder. I feel I am ready for carrying an entire film and think so is my audience. Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) changed things for me. People started looking at me as an actor seriously, they appreciated my performance. It was a big deal for me. When Luka Chuppi did well, I felt my thinking is resonating with the audience. They liked what I liked, and hopefully, that continues!"

'Mimi' is being directed by Laxan Utekar (known for Luka Chuppi), while Dinesh Vijan is the producer. Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak and Amardeep Jha will also be seen doing major roles in the film.
