Life is difficult when your parents are not exactly fond of your partner. Well, Athiya Shetty wouldn't know for daddy Suneil has given his approval on her dating choice. The actress, who recently returned with rumoured boyfriend cricketer KL Rahul from a New Year vacay in Thailand, has been the talk of the town because we love Bollywood-Cricket romances, don't we?

The very dapper Suniel Shetty, in an interview with The Times Of India, said that he is fond of his kid's respective partners. Fanning the flames of the alleged romance between his daughter and KL Rahul, Shetty said, "I love whom Athiya is seeing."
While Athiya is said to be dating the cricketer, her brother Ahan Shetty has been in a relationship with Tania Shroff for many years now.
“We (he and wife Mana Shetty) love the kids and the kids they are dating. Absolutely love them and I think more than profession, being happy in life is very important today because that is the space I think that is missing. We were all happy, we grew up happy,” he said.
The 'Dhadkan' actor said that parents today should not only befriend their children but also their children's significant other. “I love Ahan’s girlfriend and I love whom Athiya is seeing. I do not have a problem with that, Mana doesn’t have a problem with that and they are happy… We are blessed that they are from brilliant families and so humble and fit into the family like gloves,” he said.
Cricketer Rahul set the rumour mills in motion with a picture of him and Athiya on Instagram. The two were posing in a phone booth and he captioned the image "Hello, devi prasad....?" in a reference to father Suneil Shetty's classic comedy Hera Pheri.
Suneil commented on the picture with laughing emojis.
