There a number of food combinations that we are consuming on a daily basis but are really harmful when eaten together.  We all eat these food items without even thinking of the harmful effects they might be having on our body. So, we need to stop for a moment, get some knowledge about it and then act accordingly.

In this article, we will be covering them one by one while giving you the scientific reasons behind why they are poisonous or toxic when consumed together and then giving you the solutions for the same.

  • Banana and Milk: Yes you heard it right Milk and Banana does not go together. Why? Because they are very heavy when eaten together. They are harder to digest and can even slow down the functioning of the brain. Banana and Milk both has the opposite food quality one has cooling nature and other has the heating nature. Banana, when they break down, turns sour and the sour when mixed will milk can turn toxic and you can end up with cold, allergy and in some cases even rashes.

 

  • Yogurt and fruits: Mixing sour and dairy products cause the body to react abnormally often known as allergy. It leads to difficult digestion and production of toxins. - According to Ayurveda. 

 

 

  • Burger and fries: Both of these food items have a lot of trans fat which makes them full of calorie and unhealthy cholesterol it can make your body lazy and inactive. This combination can lead to weight gain.

 

 

  • Pizza and Cold drink: This combination can cause gastric and stomach related problems. Cold drinks/Sodas are acidic in nature and Pizza has a lot of calories. Both of them combined will get your digestion to go really slow while making the inside of your stomach acidic leaving you with stomach problems.

Solutions:

Now as we know, these combinations play a role in our daily diet, for example, banana and milk are consumed in breakfast by a lot of people, You can replace it with better food items like Oats and Bananas. Oats provides you complex carbohydrates which will keep on providing energy to your body throughout the day.

Instead of eating Yogurt and fruits together, Eat them separately at different time. Yogurt is rich in protein and has good bacteria lactobacillus for better gut health. Fruits give you the micronutrients that are needed by the body for healthy nails, skin, and hair.

Do not drink Carbonated drinks with pizzas instead try to have something soft like juice with Pizza as pizza is already full of calories and fats. Also, try not to have fries on the side with your burger instead go for some veggies.

Make it a rule to eat veggies with every meal.
