Another 3 Policemen From Delhi Test COVID-19 Positive

NEW DELHI: Three more policemen were found coronavirus positive in the country capital. All of them are deployed at the Central district's Nabi Karim police station.

The trio has been isolated from other staff and police personnel who came into their contact have been asked to remain in-home quarantine. Earlier, eight policemen in the Chandni Mahal police headquarters of the same district had tested positive for the coronavirus.

Also, a constable who was posted at the immigration counter at the Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal-3 was found positive for the coronavirus. He has been hospitalised. However, a traffic police ASI who had tested positive for the coronavirus has recovered and has been discharged from the hospital.

A constable in Delhi Police's special cell also tested positive for coronavirus two days ago.

All the cops got asked to tell their family members and stay under quarantine for the following fortnight. Their conditions, too, would be monitored by a team of doctors. Their contacts in past days are being ascertained from them for follow up. All of them were posted on patrol duties.

Earlier, cops from both the police station had evacuated 108 members of Tablighi Jamaat.

Delhi is the second worst-hit region to have the most number of coronavirus cases, after Maharashtra. There are currently 2081 cases in the national capital, over 400 individuals out of the total tally have either been cured or migrated. The death toll is at 47.
