LUCKNOW: The anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) At Lucknow's Clock Tower, that has been going on for two months, is called off. The decision is temporary keeping in view of the coronavirus scare in the country.

The women at the protest site said that they were temporarily suspending the protest and will be continuing it as soon as the situation eases. The decision has come after senior cleric requested the protesters and asked them to suspend it for the public interests.

However, the women left behind their cots and dupattas as a mark of their continuing protests. They even requested the local administration to allow them a status quo at the site.

Lucknow's Clock Tower protests had began on January 17th and since then the police repeatedly tried to drive off the protesters but failed. Three protesters died during the time due to winter rains as the administration denied the women to put up tents.
