NEW DELHI: A Delhi cop, 56 years of age, shot himself dead in Rohini at his residence, police said on Wednesday. The cop named Jai Bhagwan was posted in the Security Wing of Delhi Police.
Police said, "The incident came to light when Jai's wife returned home from the office and saw his body lying on the floor."
For now, the time of the incident is unknown and further investigation is going on.
The weapon used was the personnel's service revolver and was recovered from the sight of the incident. However, there was no suicide note and that is why the reason behind this huge step is ascertained.
