NEW DELHI: Veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and wife Geeta Basra pledged to distribute ration to 5,000 families on Sunday, 5 April 2020.
"Geeta_Basra and I pledge to distribute ration to 5000 families from today May Waheguru bless us all," Harbhajan said within a tweet.

Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan had paired up with former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi to assist those in need during the coronavirus pandemic which has claimed thousands of lives across the globe.
Harbhajan had also praised Afridi for the invaluable social service he was doing in these trying circumstances.
The pair were criticized for their effort by some people on social media. Harbhajan reacted by uploading a video on his Twitter handle showing Sikhs preparing and distributing food to needy in England. "No religion, no caste, only humanity...that's what it's all about...stay safe, stay home...spread love not hate or virus...let's pray for every single one...May Waheguru bless us all," he wrote.

Singh also participated in PM Modi's 9 pm 9 Minutes initiative which took place yesterday i.e. 6 April 2020. He also uploaded a picture with his family where they can be seen lighting diyas. He captioned it, "There is always a light at the end of every tunnel.. together we stand Flag of India for better tomorrow... God bless us all @narendramodi @PMOIndia"
