KOLKATA: Christmas is around the corners and Indian skipper Virat Kohli has begun spreading joy to the little kids. The sportsperson recently surprised children in a shelter home in Kolkata by dressing up as Santa Claus and distributing them gifts.
The video showed the Indian captain turned into a secret Santa where he not only distributed gifts to the kids but also interacted with them. The kids, who were unknown to Santa's real identity, were surprised as they got the exact gifts that they wished for. Afterward, they were asked if they wanted to meet Virat Kohli to which all the children gave a positive response and then Kohli finally revealed his identity, making the kids even happier. The kids immediately ran towards him and hugged him dearly.
SWEET!
Sharing the heart-warming video, the official handle of Star Sports wrote, "Watch @imVKohli dress up as [Santa faced emoji] and bring a little Christmas cheer to the kids who cheer our sportspersons on, all year long!
This joyful season, let’s remember to spread the love."

On the professional front, the Indian squad will play the deciding match of the 3-match ODI series against West Indies on Sunday, 22 December in Cuttack. The series is tied to 1-1 and this match will decide the fate of both the countries in the on-going series.
However, the captain has not performed up to his level in the first two matches where he got out for 4 runs in the first match and was sent back to the pavilion for a golden duck in the second. It remains to see if he comes back to his form in the decider match.
