The recently initiated transport ban in China has affected 41 million individuals as 13 cities got added to it. The wide-spreading coronavirus is the cause of this embargo which has affected 800 people and has caused 26 deaths so far. The virus came to be from the centrally located Wuhan city. The hazardous condition has also led the official authorities to cancel the Lunar New Year celebration for the country which was to take place on 25th January 2020.

It was announced today by the officials that train stations in the areas of Xianning, Xiaogan, Enshi and Zhijiang, within the Hubei domain are being closed along with all the public transport services. A large number of tourist locations including ‘The Great Wall Of China’ and ‘Shanghai Disneyland’ will also be closed temporarily.
The country is also attempting to construct a hospital with a thousand beds in just a duration of 2 weeks. The victims of the respiratory virus would be taken in here for the treatment. It is being built in Wuhan and will commence treatment from February 3rd.

Various organisations have started working towards developing a vaccine for the highly contagious virus. It is alleged that its trial and demos will soon be carried out in a few months.
The virus spread from the Huanan market, one of the largest animal and seafood markets situated in Wuhan. The virus has also been detected in 5 other countries like South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and UK. The decision of the World Health Organisation (WHO) to not declare the epidemic as a global health emergency has been appalling. Tedros Adhanom, the chief of WHO has stated: “This is an emergency in China, but it has not yet become a global health emergency."
