Shah, Kejriwal To Meet Today To Discuss Rising COVID Cases In Delhi

NEW DELHI: Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister as well as Dr Harsh Vardhha, The Health Minister are going to meet Arvind Kejriwal, CM of the national capital, Delhi today morning i.e. June 14 in order to review how the capital city's response has been towards coronavirus. It was only two days ago when the Supreme Court bashed the Delhi Government for the "pathetic, horrendous and horrific" circumstance in the city. Apart from this, Delhi is also the third most affected city in terms of coronavirus cases, after Maharastra and Tamil Nadu.

This is going to be the second meeting among Shah and Kejriwal within a week regarding the virus. Today's meeting is scheduled to commence from 11 am with important dignitaries like Dr Randeep Gullaria (Director, AIIMS), Lt. Governor Anil Baijal, Members of SDMA (State Disaster Management Authority) present at the meeting, as per the tweet by the Union Home Minister's office on June 13.

On Saturday, June 13, Narendra Modi met Amit Shah, Dr Hardh Vardhan and other important ministers to discuss the rapidly increasing COVID-19 cases in the country. India is the 4th worse hit state on a global level now. The situation of states, union territories which include Delhi was discussed, where cases are witnessing a huge spike.

As per the ongoing situation, it is estimated that the jump in coronavirus cases in Delhi will increase to 5.5 lakh by July 31. As per the recent data, there are more than 3 lakh cases in the country.
