On Thursday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a dig at Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan for assuring the nation the government has the deadly coronavirus situation under control.
After the health minister updated the two houses of Parliament on the latest developments in the spread of the COVID-19 virus in India, Gandhi took to Twitter to express his distrust, hinting that the situation is beyond the control of the government. He said: “The health minister saying that the Indian government has the coronavirus crisis under control, is like the Captain of the Titanic telling passengers not to panic as his ship was unsinkable."

It's time the Govt made public an action plan backed by solid resources to tackle this crisis.
Over the last few weeks, Gandhi has been Tweeting his displeasure on how the government "is not taking this threat seriously" and that it is not doing enough.
In his tweet on Thursday, the Congress leader also asked the government to share its action plan too and not just assurances.
“It’s time the government made public an action plan backed by solid resources to tackle this crisis,” Rahul Gandhi said.
Health Minister Harsh Vardhan in the Parliament said that 28,529 persons across the country are being screened for COVID-19. He will also be holding a meeting with key partners in the evening.
